Physiotherapy Services – NDIS, EPC and others

At Burleigh Central Physiotherapy we provide services for a range of different conditions with a large focus on musculoskeletal, sports and spinal injuries. These include neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee and foot/ankle injuries ranging from acute to chronic in nature. We are also equipped to treat a variety of vestibular conditions which may be causing vertigo/dizziness/nausea.

We combine manual therapy, advice/education and exercise prescription in order to provide long term solutions as well as short term relief.

Other Services

Musculoskeletal screenings: Comprehensive assessment of an individual’s predisposition to injury . Ideal for anyone training for sport or general fitness. Looks at flexibility, posture, functional strength and biomechanics , with specific advice and exercises prescribed to reduce the risk of injury and thereby improve overall training results.

EPC & CDM program: We bulk bill all referrals under the Enhanced Primary Care and Chronic Disease Management programs, with no out of pocket expense. We are the only physiotherapist that bulk bills in Burleigh Heads and surrounding areas.

NDIS – patients are welcome to our practice, and we are actively involved in the long term management and welfare of their health. There are more than 4 million Australians who have a disability. The NDIS provides a significant number of Australians who have permanent and significant disability, with funding for supports and services. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.

The NDIS can provide all people with disability with information and connections to services in their communities such as doctors, allied health, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

The NDIS is not a welfare system. The NDIS is designed to help people get the support they need so their skills and independence improve over time. We are passionate about helping you on your NDIS journey, so please get in contact when you’re ready to begin.

Pre-employment screening: Physical screening program for various industries assessing the suitability of job applicants for a range of positions. Assessment examples include posture, lifting technique, back strength and flexibility, general fitness etc.  Also very useful for injury prevention in the workplace. These are conducted in our rooms with a range of specialist equipment.

Injury prevention workshops: Designed for fitness and sports groups to improve awareness of injury prevention while training or exercising. Particularly looks at the importance of technique, biomechanics and the use of musculoskeletal screening to prevent injury and improve performance. The influence of age and genetics are also discussed in detail. These workshops are held either in our rooms or at the venue of the training group involved.
